We are proud to announce the official entry into service of the M/T AMONITH, a state-of-the-art chemical and oil products tanker that marks a significant milestone in our fleet’s modernization. Built by the renowned Ceksan Shipyard in Turkey for the Unibaltic Holding Group, this vessel represents the next generation of eco-friendly maritime transport. M/T AMONITH has been engineered with a deep commitment to the industry’s decarbonization goals. Key sustainable features include:
– CleanShip Class Notation: Awarded for meeting rigorous environmental protection standards.
– Methanol-Ready Infrastructure: Designed to transition seamlessly to methanol, the „fuel of the future.”
– NOx Reduction: Equipped with an advanced Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system to minimize nitrogen oxide emissions.
Shore Power Capability: Featuring a sophisticated management system (3x350A) that allows the vessel to shut down generators and utilize shore-side electricity while at port, virtually eliminating local emissions.
Unrivaled Efficiency
Thanks to its innovative design, the vessel boasts a propulsion system that is 25% more efficient than comparable ships in its class. Even when fully loaded with 8,100 tons of cargo, M/T AMONITH can maintain a speed of 13 knots with a power output of 2550 kW. This allows us to deliver the same performance with significantly lower energy consumption and a reduced carbon footprint.
As M/T AMONITH embarks on its first commercial voyage, we wish the Captain and the entire crew a safe and successful maiden journey. May you have fair winds and following seas as you lead the way toward a greener future for shipping!
